Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is handled in BitRadar ("the App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect and Process
BitRadar is designed to monitor and visualize your device's connectivity environment. To provide these core features, the App requests specific device permissions and processes the following information locally on your device:
- Cellular Network Information: We access phone state to display your current network type (e.g., 4G, 5G), signal strength, and provider details.
- Wi-Fi Information: We access network state and location permissions to detect your Wi-Fi SSID, connection speed, operating channels, and estimate interference levels.
- Bluetooth Data: We utilize Bluetooth scanning permissions to detect the presence and signal strength of nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices to estimate crowd density. We do not connect to or read personal data from these external devices.
- Location Data: Access to Location permissions (Coarse/Fine) is strictly required by the Android operating system to perform Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning. We use this permission solely for real-time signal analysis and do not track, store, or transmit your physical location.
2. Third-Party Services
While the core connectivity analysis happens locally, the App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you, analyze app usage, and improve stability:
- Google Play Services: Required for fundamental Android app functionality.
- Firebase Analytics: We use Firebase to understand how users interact with our app (e.g., screens visited, features used) to help us improve the user experience.
- Firebase Crashlytics: If the App crashes, we collect crash reports via Firebase. This data includes device state information, operating system version, and the stack trace of the error, helping us identify and fix bugs rapidly.
For more information on how Google handles data, please review the Google Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the App's core features (Signal monitoring, Radar).
- To analyze usage trends and improve the App's performance and design.
- To identify, debug, and fix application crashes and errors.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We only share information with the third-party services mentioned above strictly for analytical and crash reporting purposes.
5. Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
